MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS FAQs

Yes. Awakin Health provides medical weight loss services for both men and women. Treatment plans are individualized based on your health history, goals, lab results, and provider evaluation.

Our medical weight loss program combines provider-guided treatment, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, ongoing monitoring, and medication options when clinically appropriate. Treatment is personalized to help patients achieve sustainable weight loss while maintaining overall health and lean muscle mass.

Yes. Medication options may be available when medically appropriate. Your provider will review your health history, current medications, goals, and potential risks to determine which treatment options are appropriate for you.

Not necessarily. Eligibility is determined individually based on your current weight, BMI, health history, weight-related medical conditions, previous weight loss efforts, and treatment goals. A consultation with a provider is required to determine whether medical weight loss treatment is appropriate.

Weight loss varies from person to person. Your results will depend on several factors, including your starting weight, treatment plan, nutrition, activity level, medication response, and consistency. Our goal is safe, sustainable progress rather than rapid short-term weight loss.

Loss of lean mass can occur during weight loss. We encourage adequate protein intake, resistance training, and appropriate nutrition to help preserve lean muscle mass throughout treatment.

Lab testing may be recommended depending on your medical history, current medications, symptoms, and treatment plan. Your provider will determine which labs, if any, are appropriate during your evaluation.

Awakin Health is a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance for medical weight loss services. This allows us to provide individualized care without many of the restrictions associated with insurance-based treatment.
